Gretchen Carlson Leadership Initiative
in the Twin Cities, MN
In January, AIT kicked off the new year and brought the Gretchen Carlson Leadership Initiative (GCLI) to the Twin Cities, MN. Our programming reached women from diverse backgrounds–from working women to survivors of domestic violence–through two signature events:
January 11th: AIT National Women’s Civic Leadership Program
January 13th: GCLI Community Workshop with the Minnesota Coalition for Battered Women
Featured speakers included Representative Erin Maye Quade (District 57A, Minnesota House of Representatives ), Representative Jamie Becker-Finn (District 42B, Minnesota House of Representatives) Amy Koch (Former Majority Leader, Minnesota Senate), and Caroline Wanga (Chief Diversity Officer and VP of Human Resources, Target) and other notable women. The panelists inspired attendees with stories of how they overcame hardship in order to make a difference in their communities, as well as actionable steps to take in order to get involved.
