Gretchen Carlson Leadership Initiative
in White Plains, NY
On February 24, 2018, AIT kicked off the new year and brought the Gretchen Carlson Leadership Initiative (GCLI) to the White Plains, NY. We partnered with Hope’s Door, an extraordinary organization that seeks to end domestic violence and to empower victims to achieve safety, independence, and healing from the trauma of abuse.
Featured speakers included Leg. Catherine Borgia (Westchester County Legislature), Karen Cheeks-Lomax (My Sister’s Place), Rev. Noelle Damico (Co-Chair, Westchester Women’s Agenda), Nely Rodriguez (Coalition of Immokalee Workers), Andrea Stewart Cousins (NY State Senate), and other extraordinary women leading change in Westchester and beyond. The panelists inspired attendees with stories of how they overcame hardship in order to make a difference in their communities, as well as actionable steps to take in order to get involved.
