Happy Women’s History Month!
American women have made many strides since the first Women’s History Month in 1987. 2020 was a record-breaking year for women with 144 women elected to U.S. Congress and election of the first woman Vice President. Despite these gains, there’s still plenty of work to be done in the name of gender equality. It’s time to finally address issues that continue to hold women back including the gender pay gap, which is widening for women of color, gender-based violence and workplace harassment, and discrimination. In honor of women’s progress and potential, All In Together is spending Women’s History Month celebrating and spotlighting the groundbreaking contributions made by women. Join us!
Ways to Celebrate Women’s History Month
1.) The theme for 2021’s International Women’s Day is Choose a Challenge. This year AIT is supporting the Piestewa Challenge, which celebrates the 399,458 women currently serving our nation’s military. Challenge participants create teams of 4-8 and collectively run 174 miles through March 30 to honor the lives of the 174 women killed in action* in the Global War on Terror.
2.) Join us on March 18 as we explore the issues at the intersection of policy and healthcare during our Women in Healthcare Equity Forum. All In Together will convene private and public sector leaders in healthcare to engage in an action-oriented conversation about women’s growing role as healthcare’s primary innovators.
3.) Donate to support the grass roots gender equity work of AIT.
