  • International Workers’ Day

Every year, workers around the world observe International Workers' Day on May 1st. While the U.S. officially observes our Labor Day in September, many American activists will hold rallies and other events on May 1st to advocate on behalf of issues that affect working-class people. What's more, International Workers' Day certainly celebrates American women: not only do women make up nearly half the U.S. workforce, but women also represent nearly two-thirds of minimum wage workers across the country.
