Clare Platt is the Community Engagement Manager for All In Together. Clare approaches gender equality and women’s leadership as a pressing domestic and global issue and has studied and worked with non-profit organizations all over the world including in China, India, South Africa, Cameroon, and Ecuador.
Before joining the AIT team, Clare most recently worked for the United Nations Foundation’s Girl Up Campaign in Washington D.C., where she helped to garner awareness and move domestic legislation in support of global adolescent girls’ rights issues and initiatives. She is excited to bring her advocacy experience to the AIT team and focus her efforts on closing the critical gender gaps present here the United States.
Clare graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs with a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and a concentration in International Development. She received special honors for the publication of her thesis which focused on women and girls’ involvement in the Boko Haram conflict and recent countering-violent extremism efforts. Clare is from a small town in western Wisconsin, and will always be a Midwestern girl at heart.
