Kwasi Mitchell is a principal in Deloitte’s Consulting and Government and Public Services Practice (GPS) with over 15 years of consulting experience. Throughout his tenure, Kwasi has demonstrated his expertise while guiding security and law enforcement executives through strategic, operational and workforce transformations to address emerging security threats. While at Deloitte, Kwasi has held several roles focused on growing and developing talent within the firm – from Strategy Offering Lead within Deloitte GPS’s Strategy & Analytics Portfolio to Federal Inclusion Leader, where he championed recruiting diverse candidates through Deloitte’s first ever Inclusion Hiring Blitz. Currently, Kwasi serves as the Diversity and Inclusion Leader for Deloitte Consulting LLP and leads national initiatives focused on the development and advancement of female, minority, veteran, and LGBTQ+ practitioners at Deloitte.
In addition, Kwasi has the honor of serving as Deloitte Consulting’s National Pro Bono Lead. He is an active skills-based volunteer in the non-profit and higher education community within the greater Washington D.C. area and serves as a board member for the Urban Alliance Foundation.
Kwasi holds a Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Northwestern University, an MBA from Drexel University, and B.A. from Kalamazoo College. In his spare time, Kwasi can be found at his favorite spin studio, travelling with his wife, Kate, or sharpening his piano skills.
