Kristin Solheim is a Director of Federal Government Affairs in the Washington, D.C. Global Government Affairs Office. Kristin has been at Citi since 2013 managing such issues as FinTech, trade, cyber security, privacy and credit card issues. She also played an instrumental role in the Citi Open tennis tournament and its beneficiary the Washington Tennis and Education Foundation.
Kristin joined Citi from Visa Government Relations where she was the lead Democrat from 2007-2013. During her tenure at Visa, she was instrumental in the interchange battle on Capitol Hill and managed such issues as risk, privacy, cyber security, tax and government sales. Prior to joining Visa, Kristin spent five years at FedEx Corp. in the Government Affairs office working on a variety of legislative issues including labor disputes, the environment, airline regulations and corporate tax.
Kristin began her career in Washington as a reporter covering the airline industry. She is a native of Iowa and received her Bachelor’s degree and Master’s in Journalism from the University of Arizona. She lives in Chevy Chase, Maryland with her husband and four children.
