Blair Watters is Senior Director, Government Affairs at InterDigital, where she educates U.S. policy makers on issues of interest to InterDigital, including patents and intellectual property, spectrum and wireless communications, corporate tax reform, international trade, and workforce skills.
Prior to joining InterDigital, Blair was Partner at The Madison Group, a bipartisan consulting and lobbying firm, where she handled matters related to telecoms, banking, commerce, trade, and tax. Prior to that, she was a Democratic Leadership Aide for the House Democratic Caucus, serving under Chairman (now Senator) Bob Menendez as Director of Special Projects. Previously, she was Representative Karen McCarthy’s Chief of Staff in the Washington, DC office and managed her work on the influential House Energy and Commerce Committee, including the Subcommittees on Telecommunications and the Internet; Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection; and Oversight and Investigations. Ms. Watters also worked for the Computer and Communications Industry Association (CCIA) as Director of Public Policy.
In addition to her work at InterDigital, Blair is on the board of the George Washington (GW) Medical Facility Associates (MFA) and Chair of the Women’s Health Board of the GW MFA.
